The year 2019 is one of anniversaries for IPE-Visionnaire: the mother company IPE was founded 60 years ago, while Visionnaire, its exclusive brand, is celebrating its 15th birthday. For the 58th edition of the Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan and the FuoriSalone 2019, these milestones will be commemorated with a series of original initiatives.

For the 58th Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan, at Rho Fiera, Visionnaire returns to Pavilion 5 with a space of 820 square meters designed by Alessandro La Spada in collaboration with the creative director Eleonore Cavalli. Organized in 15 settings, the overall stand takes its cue from reflections on the environment, seen as the result of an intense dialogue between nature and artifice. In the architectural design, this orientation influences the form of the diagonal wings that outline the visit itinerary, around the central lounge area that takes on the function of a theatrical “transparent lung.” The new Visionnaire collection, titled Anniversary for the occasion and presented in the company’s spaces at the fair, includes over 80 products, mostly created for indoor/outdoor residential projects but also covering a specific selection for the contract sector. The art direction by Eleonore Cavalli develops a horizon of new proposals, the result of work commissioned to the Italian designers Alessandro La Spada, Roberto Lazzeroni, Marco Piva, Armando Bruno – in a duo with Alberto Torres – Mauro Lipparini, Giuseppe Viganò, Fabio Bonfà, and the international designers Steve Leung and Maria Serebryanaya with Roberta Verteramo. Moving forward with its focus on bespoke craftsmanship and maniacal attention to detail, Visionnaire introduces several important creative and stylistic innovations in Anniversary. In the area of experimentation, the combination of different materials generates results of great impact: innovative cement coatings that broadcast luminous highlights from bronze are combined with “inlays” of “liquid” metals on marble surfaces, while precious and exclusive seeds – like the 4 seasons – alternate with abonos fossil wood with an open-pore finish. Among the unusual decorative themes, the silhouettes of mountain peaks return in the irregular embroidery of portions of furniture, taking on the identity of a visual signature to enhance headboards, for example, or the textile shades that complete some of the light sources.

The “Decalogue”: a manifesto of intent, in a remarkable special edition

An exceptional project that takes the guise of a collectible book, in a numbered edition that outlines the ten basic and indispensable values of the company. The texts, besides narrating the company’s historical roots, take stock of its present identity and indicate the ambitious trajectories of its future. The volume – titled “Decalogue” – is the result of an effort that includes various contributions: editorial coordination by Barbara Brondi & Marco Rainò, outstanding photography by Delfino Sisto Legnani, and the critical viewpoints of Felix Burrichter, Leon Sun and Natalia Timasheva.

“Decalogue” makes its worldwide debut for the press on 8 April 2019 at the Visionnaire flagship store, Piazza Cavour 3, Milan.

New accessories capsule

A new Visionnaire accessories capsule is being presented as a preview of the new collection, the result of an original narrative approach that translates into an expressive Art Design vocabulary; the objects in this range – sculptural and functional at the same time – are made of noble materials like ceramics, stone, bronze and Murano glass, taking on the forms of a vivid panoply of vases, centerpieces, trays and object caddies designed by some of the most interestingnew talents on the international scene, such as Sara Ricciardi, Zanellato/Bortotto, Stories of Italy, Gum Design and Claire Frechet. Ongoing collaborations for the artistic creations include projects with Michele Astolfi and CaCo3.


Photography exhibition and installation in the city

The images by Delfino Sisto Legnani, inspired by the ten values of the “Decalogue” and organized in a sequence of poetic diptychs, will also be the protagonists of a solo show in the “Wunderkammer” gallery of the Visionnaire flagship store in Milan, where a surprising architectural installation will be on view at the same time, enhanced by a series of video projections made by the directors of the studio MyBossWas. This part of the simultaneously poetic and dramatic setting contains the furniture and complements of the brand, with a specific focus on fi fteen “icons” produced by Visionnaire, celebrating the company’s inventive and productive history to mark its anniversary.
