Eleonore Cavalli shared the brand’s evolution from a family-led company to one backed by strategic investment, while maintaining deep artisanal roots. She highlighted Visionnaire’s transformation into a benefit corporation, focused on generating shared value and preserving Italian craftsmanship. The brand’s current strategy centers on 15 “hero products” that reflect its design philosophy and international vision. Cavalli also emphasized the growing appeal of Italian design in the U.S. market, citing bespoke projects in Malibu, Sunny Isles, and Arte Surfside as examples of successful cross-cultural collaborations.

The festival is a project of FLA Plus, the sustainability path of FederlegnoArredo, which this year celebrates its 80th anniversary. FLA Plus was launched in 2020 to work with companies in the design industry to embrace the environmental, energy, social and economic transitions. The event was an opportunity to explore the combination of design and sustainability in a structured way and in depth, recognizing that “discovering what sustainability means calls for a plurality of approaches and listening, constantly growing and evolving”.

Green Design Days 2025 was an opportunity to discuss the sustainability of the design industryEleonore Cavalli opened her speech by reaffirming the brand’s long-standing commitment to the Salone and collaboration with trade associations. She outlined Visionnaire’s ethical and sustainable journey, supported by 40 craft hubs across Italy and a catalogue of over 2,000 products. Central to this evolution are the craftworkers, key custodians of manufacturing knowledge. Visionnaire also embraces certifications and publishes sustainability reports to demonstrate its commitment to reducing environmental impact.

Marco Bizzarri (Chairman of Visionnaire) was awarded the Sustainable Made in Italy Award 2025 at the sixth edition of the Phygital Sustainability Expo held at the Markets of Trajan – Museum of the Imperial Forums in Rome. The award, presented by the Minister of Enterprises and Made in Italy Adolfo Urso, recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to Italy’s industrial identity through social impact, ethical responsibility, and competitive vision. The prize was also given to Leonardo Maria Del Vecchio, Chief Strategy Officer at EssilorLuxottica, and Renzo Rosso, Founder and President of the Diesel.
