VISIONNAIRE AT DESIGN SHANGHAI
Visionnaire, as a first-time partner of Design Shanghai, on hand from 26 to 29 November at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center, in the Classic & Luxury Design Hall Pavilion L101. The brand presents the new Beauty collection, making its debut on the international trade fair scene.
The pavilion has a continuous enclosure, paced by diagonal openings that create a dynamic rhythm of full and empty portions on the facades. Plants establish a dialogue with cement finishes chosen for the exterior of the stand and those of the interior, with surfaces in bronze grosgrain glass and wallpapers featuring floral or zoomorphic graphics. The lively mixture of materials and finishes gives the space a sensation of fluidity, with a rhythm that accompanies visitors along a vivid pathway of imagination.
The new collection is joined by a selection of the brand’s most iconic creations, including the Equinox console by Mauro Lipparini and the Georg table designed by Giuseppe Viganò. The new items for the living area include the Donovan sofa by La Conca and the Lego family, composed of a low table and console, recently created in collaboration with the duo Draga & Aurel. The Lego capsule collection pays homage to the exceptional character of objects that exist unique entities, developed by artisans whose experience is channeled not only through the hands, but also through the heart. The theme of uniqueness has also inspired Alessandro La Spada in the design of the Arkady table, which through a slim glass top reveals a slab of marble with an organic form, crafted by hand. Another protagonist of the display is Mauro Lipparini, whose Osborne boisere, along with the Desmond room-center gem and the Bastian bedroom, complete the design offerings in the pavilion.
The contemporary beauty narrated by Visionnaire in the 2020 collection reflects an attitude – that of creating projects and objects of extraordinary, unique quality. The constant technological research, experimentation with materials, the juxtaposition and blending of elements, the hands of artisans who test, perfect and define new material solutions: these are the elements that define the identity of every single product, making it unique and impossible to duplicate, though reproduction in a new version is always possible. This year the brand also expands its offerings of Art Design, setting the major challenge of contextualizing it in a retail perspective, and involving designers of exceptional artistic talent, with a true aptitude for experimentation with materials: almost “Renaissance” personalities in terms of method and individual approach, totally engaged in the genesis and production of their creations in the workshop. Visionnaire has operated in China for over 20 years. The country is an extremely strategic market, calling for continuing new investment. The company now has 17 single-brand stores in the leading cities of China, including Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Foshan, Chengdu, Nanjing, Xiamen, Suzhou and Yantai, as well as openings arriving in the year 2020 at Taizhou, Zhengzhou, Ningbo and Shenzhen. These initiatives are joined by the recent opening of the Visionnaire Embassy in Hong Kong.
