Leon’s Place - Rome, Italy

Boutique hotel

Located in a noble Nineteenth century palazzo, Leon’s Place is an example of modern hotel design. The concept is inspired by the art deco genre, which blended decorative and neo-classical elements, and the result is rooms of refined elegance that are anything but austere. There is no lack of witty details, at times a little frivolous, and at others unusual, to remind one that nothing is out of place in Rome, where different styles have always lived side by side and mingled. The transformation process involved change of intended use and internal layout, and went beyond the modern concept of hotel design. Visionnaire, together with Hotel Philosophy Real Estate company, gave the building a new “feminine” configuration, imagining it as a woman given a new lease on life and revamping her look. Pausing to examine the details, one discovers how much the decor is based on an elegant balance of materials, shapes and tone on tone colors. The high-impact lobby is designed to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests. In this space, bar and reception functions blend, extending a multisensorial welcome through the use of colors, materials and textures that stimulate tactile perception. An expression of vibrant, contemporary luxury, the space features snowy columns and is pervaded by suffused lighting that recreate the sumptuous atmosphere of the past.
